Sampaoli Has a Hard Cut Making Sevilla Compete With Losses

Krychowiak, Gameiro; two of Sevilla's best players who have left the club is tough on Sevilla who also had to say goodbye to probably their most succesful coach in their entire history. So for any manager to come in and continue the success of the club, whilst playing their attractive attacking football won't be easy with these departures.

But I'm a fan of Sampaoli and I don't see why he can't usher in a new era for Sevilla, bringing in his own unique spices.

The Chile that we see now who are two-time Copa America winners and are, alongside Argentina and Uruguay, the best in South America, have Sampaoli to thank for getting them there. He's the one who brought in the aggressive and attacking mindset that has made Chile one of the most entertaining teams to watch, being able to bring out the very best from cats like Sanchez, Vidal, Diaz and Vargas.

So when looking for someone to replace Emery, bringing in Sampaoli whose Chile team play in a similar way to Sevilla was the right move. What you dont' want is getting someone like Benitez for example, and lose the identity that have made Sevilla so hard to beat at their cribb and being so dominant on the continent. So in that sense, despite Emery leaving, they haven't ventured too far away from the kind of football that has made Sevilla one of the most respectable and popular teams to watch.

But losing those two players is really tough. Krychowiak showed at the Euros just how good he is, by overshadowing Lewandowski who came in with all the hype.

He was the midfield glue to the team and was the conduit between defence and attack, forming an integral function to the way Sevilla were able to decimate teams on the counter.

To lose such an important central midfielder like that is hard. There's no other player on the market like him that Sevilla will be able to get so already Sampaoli will need to figure out how he can plug that hole that has now appeared from the Polish supermo's departure.

Not easy.

Then you've got Gameiro, who must have insulted Deschamp's family because he should have been in the French team. He was great as a striker for Sevilla, being very quick on the ball, making smart runs and had the speed to get between defenders and create danger in the box. Which is why Simeone rushed to get him before anyone else, leaving Sevilla and Sampaoli without a finisher.

The task won't be easy, especially when he's got to figure out a way to get Llorente scoring and being of any use. But if he can bring that psychology he had with Chile and the entire team can work as hard as the Chileans, then Sevilla can maintain being a very hard team to beat whilst learning a few new tricks all the way from South America.
