Simeone has run out of Miracles with Atletico. Time to coach Argentina

Simeone is still the best coach in the world currently. I don't want to offend my boy Mourinho, or even play down the incredibe achievement that Santos had with Portugal. But I look at what you've done over the course of several seasons, and Simeone has consistently overperformed with a club who have no business being in two Champions League Finals in three years.

I can't believe they didn't win that trophy last season. I thought it was their time and just by the laws of nature and the world, they would  get revenge on their rivals. Well, it seemed as if nature didn't get the memo and Juanfran decided he didn't like putting the ball in the fishnet, and Madrid turned out to be winners.

Seeing the result of that, and Atletico's journey to the final, defeating both of the favorites on their way, only to end up losing on the final hurdle, I just don't know how much more he can do. I mean, do you really think with all these clubs pumping even more money in getting players, Atletico will reach the final again?

The game now is rigged against the smaller teams with less money having any chance of winning a trophy.

Simeone has to make a big decision. He's at a crossroads. He can either keep on ploughing on, trying to get the best out of the average to good players. Begging the board for better soldiers and a deeper squad to compete with the titans of Barcelona and Madrid, or he can move onto bigger things.

No offence to Atletico, but the Chelsea job which he was rumored for would be a bigger platform for him. Having the riches of Abramovich with a much better squad will give him a much better chance of going for a treble, rather than sweating for one trophy. And of course, the Holy Grail:

Argentina.

I cannot see a scenario where he eventually doesn't coach the national team. I even knew of Simeone as an Argentine player first before his appearances with Atletico and Inter. He formed a very important part of the team, being the hard-nosed destoryer who did the dirty work and was in the last team that Argentina had which won a major trophy. Surely it's destiny that he's the one to bring back glory to a country who are searching for a deliverer.

Diego Drugdealer Simeone, you need to make the right decision for your career. For a manager so good, the league and cup trophies with Atletico are not enough for someone of his ability. HH
